The Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) has continued its partnership with Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) as the title sponsor of the 3rd CDB – MCA T10 Cricket Tournament 2026, and the Finals was played on 28th June, 2026 (Sunday) under lights at the CCC Grounds

This tournament is conducted in two categories – Tier “A” and Tier “B”  played in the same grounds and in( Tier B ) played between People’s Leasing PLC and Maliban Biscuits while in (Tier A)  Abans Group played with CDB in the finals. 

The (Tier B) Finals played between Peoples Leasing PLC and Maliban Biscuits and batting first People’s Leasing PLC scored 84 runs for 5 wickets in their allotted 10 overs. Chathura  Anuradha 29, Esitha Gimhana 20, Maliban Biscuits 43 for 8. Tharindu Siriwardene 11.

Peoples Leasing PLC won by 41 runs.

In (Tier A) Finals played between Abans Group and CDB- Citizens Development Bank and batting first Abans Group scored 116 runs for the lost of 7 wickets in their allotted 10 overs while CDB scored 122 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their 10 overs.

For Abans Group Kevin Samuel scored brilliant knock of 47 runs fire fights innings with seven huge sixes all over the ground and Dilshan De Soysa 24 runs, Savindu Uthsara 15 runs and in  bowling Sri Lankan fast bowler Nuwan Thushara bowled magnificently and captured 2 wickets for 7 runs, while Navindu Prabhash two wickets for 20 runs.  Dunith Wellalage 2 wicks for 22 runs.

Citizen Development Bank (CDB) scored top innings in of 122 for the loss of 4 wickets in 8.5 overs. Vishad Randika, the wicket keeper of the team top scored with 44 runs with 4 sixes and two fours in his superb batting performance. He scored four huge brilliant sixes in his score of 44 runs in 22 balls,  Dunith Wellalage top fighting batting scored 31 runs with towering 3 sixes and one four while Movin Subasinghe 31 runs with 4 sixes, and in bowling for Abans Group Kaveesha Dulanjana 2 wicket for 15 runs are the highlights of the innings CDB – 122 for 4 wickets in 8.5 overs – Vishad Randika 44, Dunith Wellalage 31, Movin Subasinghe 31– Bowling Kaveesha Dulanjana 2 for 15.     CDB won by 6 wickets.
