The 31st Night Dance heralding the New Year 2026 at the Mt. Lavinia Hotel was full of glamour filled with fun and frolic with tourists from several countries mingling with local guests as the dance floor roared to the rhythm of music as they indeed infused a colorful ambience in the festive air of the absorbing merriment to ushering in the New Year.

The foreigners present hailed from Australia, Canada, England, USA and Germany as they danced to the break of the new year along with the Sri Lankans
With the dawn of the New Year, the Chairman Mount Lavinia Hotel Mr. Sanath Ukwatte, clad in a blue suit lit the oil lamp and was associated in the traditional boiling of milk..
The night came alive in the able hands of top rung Sri Lankan musicians Rajive and the Clan who pumped up the day’s proceedings in a stirring display that captivated all and sundry on this monumental night for all Mt. Lavinia Hotel from the top to the bottom. The serving food and beverages staff under the direction of the doyen in the preparation of the most equisite Sri Lankan food that towering atom in the trade Publis Silva Director in performing a minute job to the entire satisfaction of the VIPs and other guests, none the least the foreign tourists who marked the New Year in the Paradise Isle in typical Sri Lankan style as body and limb of the foreigners and locals were a oneness of elegance to the throb of the wafting music by Rajive and the Clan.
