Sri Lanka kick off Women’s U19 T20 Tri Series on winning note against England by 8 runs

Sri Lanka Women U19 won a nail biter by 8 runs over England Women U19 to kick off their T20 Tri-Series campaign in Australia.

Taking first lease after winning the toss, Sri Lanka posted a compatible 136 for 6 off 20 overs with opening batter Sanjana Kavindi leading the way with a defining 45 off 33 deliveries, striking 5 fours and 2 sixes.

England Women U19 were restricted to 128 despite a brave effort as Sri Lanka’s spin attack got on top with. Limansa Thilakarathne and Chamodi Praboda claiming 3 wickets each.
